nib Begins Educating Transaction Document Specialists
nib health funds is one of Australia’s fastest growing health funds with more than 1 million customers across Australia and New Zealand. Last week The Document Institute ran a very successful Transaction Document Production (TDP) course at NIB’s headquarters in Newcastle, NSW.
After a major process over recent months, nib made the decision to acquire HP Exstream’s multichannel Customer Communication Management (CCM) solution. nib are due for product training and implementation of the CCM solution over the next month, followed by a pilot program launch in May. Realising that a major customer communication system needs to be implemented within a professional environment, nib selected The Document Institute to provide staff with core document production competencies.
nib are gearing up to take back full control of the creation of their customer communication. An additional TDP course is planned in a few months' time, and subsequent Document Systems Lifecycle and TDP Best Practices courses are also planned for 2014.
Staff selected for the initial course included a good spread of participants across the nib business, with Marketing, Business Analysis, IT, and Design all well represented. The closed course format worked well for nib as this led to some fantastic questions and discussion around their existing documents and processes, as well as various business strategies. Great feedback from all.
All participants successfully completed this first course of the acadami Transaction Document Specialist School (TDSS). Congratulations to David Chung, Sarah Thorn, Sam Jeffress, Mary-Jane Dawson, Richard Makowiecki, and Glenn Moore. A special congratulations to Sarah Thorn for being awarded the Pantone Colour of the Year mug for comments, questions, and general interactivity over the course.
The Transaction Document Production course is one of the internationally accredited courses developed by acadami and offered by The Document Institute in Australia and New Zealand. If you communicate with your customers via transaction documents, or you need, create, manage or deliver them, and would like to discuss this or other courses, please contact us at
